The Author Module is used by content authors to compile e-Learning packages whereas the Display Module is used to deliver the packages to end users. The Display Module along with content and support files can be collected together to be later distributed through the network or on CD.

Author Module

The author module component is used to compile e-Learning packages together. The content inside an e-Learning package is categorised by means of links. Each link can include author notes, user notes, media files and questions which can be in a true/false, open ended or multiple choice format. An e-Learning package can also be marked for assessment or non assessment objectives. Once all the content has been compiled the e-Learning package along with the dependant media and support files can be collected together and delivered to the recipients. Please view the links under the Author Module component inside the product tour to see Showcase in action.

Please hover your mouse over the following links to see sample screen shots for both the author and display modules.

Display Module

The display module is used to deliver the e-Learning package to end users in two modes, assessment and non-assessment. In assessment mode the user navigates through the content in a sequential method being unable to review the content or to edit their answers. Once all the questions have been answered the Display modules saves them to a predefined location. These results can later be decrypted and converted into a csv files ready to be imported into Microsoft Excel to be analysed. In non assessment mode the user is free to navigate through content in any way having an opportunity to review both the content and their answers. Please view the links under the Display Module component inside the product tour to see Showcase in action.
